Tuesday Spotlight: Storm Moon Press

Upcoming Storm Moon Press Titles

2011 has been an amazing year for Storm Moon Press. When S.L. Armstrong and I (K. Piet) first founded our press in January of 2010, it was with the intent to both self-publish our own titles and take what we had learned about the publishing business and mold it into a business model that was everything we had looked for so that we could offer the best to other authors dedicated to producing quality GLBT erotica and erotic romance.

We have been busy this year putting together both anthology calls of all shapes and sorts and working with authors individually on their novel and novella length manuscripts. This upcoming November, we're happy to present two such works by two talented authors.

On November 4th, we will present Counterpunch by Aleksandr Voinov. This novel is set in a speculative fiction backdrop in which slavery was never abolished and exists now as a popularly accepted sect of society. For Brooklyn Marshall, former policeman convicted for murder, slavery was the alternative to incarceration. Now a boxer on the slave prizefighting circuit, he provides violent entertainment for freemen and is occasionally rented out for sexual services. When Nathaniel Bishop purchases him for a night, Brooklyn is surprised by Nathaniel's desire to help overturn his murder conviction. An accident sends him on the run again, but he isn't about to give up on the greatest fight of all—the fight for his freedom.

Pre-orders for Counterpunch are open, and all pre-orders will be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes – a poster of the Counterpunch cover art signed by Aleksandr Voinov, a signed paperback copy of the book, or the grand prize: a choice of a Kindle or a $115 (USD) gift certificate to Amazon! In addition, everyone who pre-orders the e-book will be able to access it 48 hours prior to the official release date and at 20% off! There is no better time to purchase, so head over to the official Counterpunch page now!

In addition to that, we are also happy to present Crescendo by Rachel Haimowitz. This high fantasy novel continues the story of Prince Freyrík and his elven lover, Ayden, as they join heart and mind to fight a race of Dark Beasts threatening the extinction of mankind. When Ayden is stripped of his elven magic, Freyrík is forced to choose between his love for the elf, the Aegis Exalted of the human High Court, and his brother, King of Farr, all while seeking the one uncertain path that might save his doomed race. It is only by making peace between humans and elves that they can fight the Dark Beasts, but after three hundred years of hatred and tragedy, everything hangs in the balance.

Crescendo also has a wonderful pre-order drawing running until release day on November 18th. As always, the pre-order price is 20% off, and e-book pre-orders can be accessed 48 hours prior to the official release date. In addition, all pre-orders are entered into the drawing for one of three prizes: a Crescendo cover art poster signed by author Rachel Haimowitz, a signed paperback set of Crescendo and it's prequel Counterpoint, or the grand prize: a classic Nook pre-loaded with Rachel Haimowitz's entire backlist! To pre-order your copy and get entered to win all the great prizes, go to the official Crescendo page at Storm Moon Press' website!

To join the ranks of these authors at Storm Moon Press, you can either submit your short stories to our various anthologies or send your novella or novel length submission to us for consideration. We have plenty of open calls going, so feel free to check them out at our official Submissions Page! We'd be happy to have you join our team!

I read Counterpoint and loved it. I can't wait to read Crescendo. The covers for both books are wonderful and beautiful.

Counterpunch sounds great; it's another book for my must have list.

Congrats on your success, Storm Moon Press!
