Friday Spotlight: Kaily Hart

Things that make you go ‘Sigh…’

1 THIS. Just this…
This picture was actually my inspiration picture for Gabe Jackson, the hero from PLAY ME.

2. Freshly baked, warm, gooey, chocolate chunk cookies.

3. A note from a reader telling me they loved one of my books :-)!

4. Dark chocolate and a good red wine.

5. An unsolicited hug from one of my kids.

6. Writing that scene in a book, knowing I’ve nailed the characters, their intensity and the still fragile emotion of their fledgling relationship because at that point, they become ‘real’ and I can ‘feel’ them.

7. A chocolate soufflé with a warm molten center of rich, creamy chocolate served with vanilla bean ice cream.

Huh? There’s a pattern you say? What pattern :-)? Yeah, okay I like chocolate! What writer doesn’t? So…what makes YOU go ‘sigh…’?

Chocolate would be on my list too. Good Southern food makes me happy too. Having several uninterupted hours to read is very high on my list.

Stacie, you know, uninterrupted reading is such a luxury for me I never even thought of that! That would make me sigh for sure!

A day spent with my children and grandkids. That's what life is all about. Spending time with the people you love.

Great list, Kaily.

I love a cool shower on a hot day, hugs from my kids, an unexpected bouquet of flowers from my hubby, and a brand new hot off the press release of a much anticipated book.

Ingeborg, couldn't agree more!

Ju, can't remember the last time I had a bath. That defines luxury!

Well said, Cathy :).

Chey, Maureen I like the way you think!

Hmmmm. What makes me sigh? Well to follow a trend I see in the comments one of the things that makes me sigh and drool a little is looking at really yummy sweet recipes in some of those magazines you get in the mail.

Before I continue I'd like to say Ms Hart that I really like your hot guy picture on your post.

Anyway, other sigh worthy things on my list.

2. Stepping out of a cool shower when it's like 88-95 degrees outside, nothing feels better then that.

3. A happy ever after/happy for now type ending to my books, that makes me sigh and smile quite a bit.

I think this will shock everyone but I don't like chocolate!

I live in the mountains and watching a doe and her fawn, the smell of lilacs, and the sight of the ranchers without their shirts on makes me sigh makes me sigh. :-)
