Wednesday Spotlight: Renee Field

Where do you get your inspiration?

I love libraries. I could roam a big library probably all day. I love picking up new books and leafing through them to discover something new, something beyond my imagination. When ever I’m feeling like I’m in a bit of a writing rut, I score the library for books about legends, Celtic stories, ancient Greece, Egypt, Ireland, and I love anything to do with the sea. Don’t even get me started about what’s taking place in the Gulf right now because all I have to say is that Poseidon is totally pissed!

So tell me where you get your story ideas as a writer? How have you as a writer moved out of your rut and back into the groove of your story? As a reader what stories captivated you the most?

Or if you want to rant about the oil spewing which is a catastrophe beyond anything this Earth has seen (because 90% of it is taking place underwater) do it. You might as well because to me the rest of the world needs to wake up to this crisis.

As a reader, I'm really intrigued by fantasy books. I always think, "How did he/she create that???" Fantasy books are amazing and seem so "real" to me.
