Friday Spotlight: Samantha Gentry

DÉJÀ VU by Samantha Gentry was released January 15, 2010, and is available from the Crimson Rose line of romantic suspense/mystery at The Wild Rose Press (www.thewildrosepress.com).

When Alexandra Caldwell is hired by a reclusive author to research the thirty-year-old disappearance of a big name newspaper tycoon and his wife, she wasn't sure what she would discover. As she embarks on this project, she finds herself in the middle of a series of frightening events and an unexpected attraction to Gable Talbot, the current owner of Skull Island where the disappearances occurred...a man with a magnetic sex appeal and a past as mysterious as the case she's researching. Will she be able to do the job she was hired for, or has she stumbled too close to the truth?

I want to tell you the story of two people who didn't want to fall in love…didn't want to even start a relationship. Well, that's not exactly true. It's not that they weren't extremely attracted to each other, it was mostly a matter of bad timing and unfortunate circumstances that dictated a hands off situation. Fortunately for them, all that good resolve didn't last very long.

Gable's reluctance is due to a personal agenda that has dominated everything he has done for the last twenty-five years, since he was fourteen years old. Even though he finds Lexi very attractive and desirable, he can't allow his personal desires to interfere with the master plan he has recently set into motion as the final step in achieving his long time goal.

Lexi doesn't know what to make of Gable. She is definitely attracted to him, but her psychic abilities—something she acknowledges but can't control and doesn't understand—have given her strange visions revolving around Gable. She knows he isn't who he claims to be, but doesn't know why he's hiding behind a false identity. Are the frightening visions trying to warn her that Gable is a dangerous man? But her attraction to him is greater than her fear of the unknown.

Can the two of them, working together, unravel the secrets of Skull Island?

Your book Deja Vu, sounds really good Samantha. I haven't read a story with a psychic in a long time and your book I put on my TBL.
