When asked what is the first food you think of that is romantic, you’d probably say chocolate. For the chocoholic, it is an orgasmic delight for the soul, and the hero learns just how that sounds from the heroine in my story "Undercover Lovers", in the Sexual Deceptions 2 anthology written by myself and Rayne Forrest.
Whenever I cook anything sweet, it usually means I’m looking for something extra delicious, and what better then a rich and gooey Hot Fudge Cake. This is the ultimate indulgence for anyone who loves chocolate.
1 cup all purpose flour 2/3 cup white sugar
2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons cocoa 1/2 cup milk
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup chopped nuts, optional
1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup cocoa
1-3/4 cups hot water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease square baking dish.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 4 Tbsp cocoa. Stir in milk, oil and nuts. Use spatula to spread in dish. Mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa, and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over batter very slowly. Do not mix in. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes. It will set up as it cools. Serve topped with chocolate ice cream and whip cream for total decadence.
